Photos Taken By Carl Connelly

The following gallery of photos were taken by my friend Carl during the 1950's and 60's. Not only was he a great photographer but Carl was a good freind who will be missed dearly. Carl was the kind of man who you look up to and respect for his sincereity, kindness, and down-to-earth nature; truly a good man. Carl passed away November 25, 2009 at the age of 77. He surely will not be forgotten.

Carl regretted not having taken more photos of the Cornwall while it was still in existence, but who would have known that the little railroad that ran for over one hundred years would someday cease to exisit? Carl's photos provide a look back in time that for many of us (myself included) would not have seen otherwise, having been born too late. The captions are in Carl's words, with some addtitions added for clarity.

If you wish to see more of Carl's fine photography, his work has been published in several books including "A Colorful Look At Selected Pennsylvania Shortlines" which has more of his Cornwall Railroad photos.

This glimpse back in time is dedicated in the memory of Carl W. Connelly.
